At what age can I start my child in tennis?
Our Academy starts kids that show interest, tracking skills and balance at age 3.5 to 4. In most cases, at around 5 years of age. We love the little ones, they absorb quickly and recall a lot! The earlier a child learns to track, eye hand coordination and balance; the better. These early skills help them in all areas of sports. ![]() ![]() ![]() Should I take private lessons or should I enroll in clinics with other students? Depends on your level of play. With some experience, a private lesson once a week and two clinics per week is ideal. It takes two days a week to develop a player. We suggest for a child starting out, you join our clinics twice a week. Another option is to share a semi-private lesson with one or two friends. As you improve, you will certainly benefit from private lessons. Each person is unique in how they learn. Once we work together, a lesson plan can be set-up for you or your child. Is it very costly for private lessons and is a clinic less expensive? One on one time with your Pro; you will improve at a faster pace. If you enjoy groups, your ability to absorb the lesson will be better served. Compare the prices for both and you decide. Remember; what you learn you will want to put into match play. |
